Diamant Museum Amsterdam has welcomed 25.000 visitors since it’s opening last April

We like you to witness the event on October 30 2007 of our 25.000th visitor of the Diamant Museum Amsterdam, which opened its doors in April 2007.

The fortunate visitor is : Miss Ruth Anthony accompanied by her friend Vicky Dearman from London.

As a gift we offered her a diamond, made of rock crystal, with a diameter of 25 mm.

The owner of Coster Diamonds, Mr. B.A. Meier is the founder of the Diamant Museum Amsterdam. Coster Diamonds is located in Amsterdam since 1840 when Martin Coster started his diamond polishing factory in Amsterdam. Many famous diamonds were cut at Coster Diamonds such as the Koh-I-Noor and the Star of the South.
With a rich history of 400 years in diamond cutting and trading, Amsterdam earned the worldwide fame as the centre of diamond trade and industry in the world. It was about time, Mr. Meier said, that Amsterdam the “City of Diamonds” had a diamond museum.

The Diamant Museum Amsterdam takes you on a journey that began 3 billion years ago, 200 kilometers under the surface of the earth and which ends in the ring on your finger or in the pendant around your neck.
A fascinating story, that should not be missed for visitors to Amsterdam from all over the world.
